It takes experience and the right software to layout and typeset pages so they look like a book. Bob Spear uses Adobe's Pagemaker and InDesign for his layout work. He also uses Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare graphics. In addition to designing books for his own publishing company, he has designed over fifty others for various independent publishers.
